XRP is at a critical juncture for its monthly candle close towards reclaiming the $2.9 mark, with 6 fateful days remaining to decide between a surge and a crash.
Crypto media outlet NewsBTC reported on April 25 (local time) that XRP is engaged in a fierce battle at the upper end of its month-long consolidation range. Analyst Bull Winkle analyzed that the asset's future direction will be completely determined by the price level at which this month's monthly candle closes. Currently, XRP appears to be consolidating energy, trapped in a narrow range between $1.35 and $1.45.
Bullish proponents have set closing the monthly candle above $1.90 as their top priority. If XRP successfully settles above $1.90, it would signal a strong reversal to an upward trend. In this scenario, the path to the next resistance level of $2.90 could open up instantly. This would mean an explosive return of approximately 102% from the current price, expected to act as a strong catalyst for market buying interest.
Bearish proponents, on the other hand, are focused on breaking the $1.27 support level. If the monthly candle closes below $1.27, XRP's price is highly likely to quickly fall to the $1 mark. Warnings also suggest that in the worst-case scenario, a deep correction could follow, plummeting to between $0.60 and $0.75. As this is a risky zone where approximately 58% of the current price could evaporate, investors are urged to exercise extreme caution.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI), a technical indicator, is also searching for a decisive direction. Currently, the indicator remains in the neutral zone between 40 and 55. If it breaks above 55 and surges upwards, it would confirm entry into a full-fledged bull market. However, if it falls below 40 and reaches the 30 level, it would indicate that market participants have entered a capitulation phase, selling off their holdings in fear.
