The market's power dynamics are being shaken as the possibility arises that Strategy could surpass 'Satoshi' in Bitcoin holdings.
According to U.Today on the 23rd (local time), Alex Thorn of Galaxy Research projected in a recent report that Strategy could overtake the holdings of Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto within the next two years.
Currently, Strategy continues its aggressive buying strategy, holding a total of 815,061 BTC. This figure surpasses BlackRock's flagship Bitcoin spot ETF, IBIT, which holds 806,178 BTC.
The only remaining target is Satoshi's wallet, estimated to hold approximately 1,096,000 BTC. This amount has largely been considered 'immovable supply' in the market.
Galaxy Research analyzed that under an optimistic scenario, based on recent buying speed, Strategy could surpass Satoshi as early as September 2026. Even under a more conservative standard, the possibility of an overtake in November of the same year was suggested.
Notably, Strategy changed the market landscape by purchasing over 34,000 BTC in just one week in mid-April. At this pace, it is evaluated that Strategy could establish itself as a dominant player within the Bitcoin ecosystem, going beyond simple corporate investment.
Ultimately, this outlook suggests that beyond a mere competition in holdings, the center of power in Bitcoin could completely shift from individual creators to institutions.
