CryptoInAmerica reported that stock token trading platforms, based on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)'s new 'Innovation Exemption' system, are expected to appear as early as the fourth quarter of this year. The Innovation Exemption, introduced by the SEC on the 17th, refers to a temporary conditional exemption that allows for limited trading of tokenized U.S. stocks in an on-chain environment. In this regard, Taylor Lindman, Senior Counsel for the SEC's Crypto Assets and Cyber Unit, anticipated that related companies would announce their business plans within the next few months, stating, "The first announcement is highly likely to come out in the next quarter." Additionally, SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce explained that while there are restrictions on trading items and scale, it is sufficient for operating commercial platforms, and these can be adjusted in the future if necessary.
