Binance, the world's largest virtual asset exchange, has officially listed 25 new stock tokens, including Tesla and SK Hynix. This move comes as the asset size of the Real World Asset (RWA) platform is on the verge of surpassing $754 million. The expansion of the tokenized asset market, which connects traditional stocks and blockchain, has accelerated.
According to U.Today on September 21 (local time), Binance has added 25 major global companies to its tokenized stock trading service on the platform. The listing includes Tesla, a leading US electric vehicle stock, and SK Hynix, a prominent domestic semiconductor company, side by side. Global big tech companies such as Microsoft (MSFT), NVIDIA (NVDA), and Oracle (ORCL) were also largely included.
This new stock listing was carried out as Binance's Real World Asset platform closely approached a key milestone of $754 million. It is evaluated that the avenue for virtual asset investors to directly invest in global blue-chip stocks through a blockchain wallet, without needing to open a separate securities account, has significantly widened.
A favorable shift in the stance of US regulatory authorities has also given wings to the spread of stock tokenization. The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently granted a conditional temporary exemption for five years to on-chain based tokenized stock trading platforms, significantly lowering the barrier to entry into the institutional sphere. With regulatory uncertainty resolved, major exchanges are now eagerly rushing to convert real financial products onto the blockchain.
The center of gravity of the Real World Asset ecosystem is also rapidly shifting from simple government bond issuance to stock distribution. According to Binance Research, while bonds and short-term money market funds have led the expansion of real-world assets since the beginning of the year, the stock tokenization sector has surged by approximately 390%, rapidly growing to a size of $4.4 billion. It is even projected that tokenized stock assets under management (AUM) could reach up to $987 billion by 2030.
Binance's listing of stock tokens, including global tech and leading semiconductor stocks, is accelerating the institutional integration of Real World Assets. Market attention is focused on whether the platform's growth, nearing the $754 million mark, will become a catalyst for breaking down the boundaries between traditional finance and digital asset markets.
