The Virtual Asset Joint Investigation Division, which intensively investigates virtual assets (digital assets), was included in the Serious Crime Investigation Agency's organizational proposal announced by the Ministry of Interior and Safety's Serious Crime Investigation Agency Establishment Preparation Team on the 4th. According to Digital Asset, the preparation team established the Virtual Asset Joint Investigation Division at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and also reflected the number of personnel dispatched from other agencies such as the Financial Services Commission and the National Tax Service in the organizational structure. The structure places the Financial Crime Investigation Bureau under the 1st Deputy Chief of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and the Virtual Asset Joint Investigation Division beneath it. The Serious Crime Investigation Agency is scheduled to launch on October 2nd.
