Cryptopolitan reported that the Kenyan government is pushing to impose a 10% excise tax on Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) through the 2026 Finance Bill. In addition, the bill requires cryptocurrency companies to pay a one-time license fee of 150 million Kenyan Shillings and an annual renewal fee of 2 million Shillings for local operations. It also includes the obligation to submit annual reports containing user and transaction information.
