Many from IT, finance, and aviation industries accompany... "Trump hopes for business deals and purchase agreements with China"
It has been revealed that many individuals from American technology and financial industries are included in U.S. President Donald Trump's delegation to China for the U.S.-China summit.
Bloomberg and Reuters reported on the 11th (local time), citing White House officials, that Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, and Kelly Otberg, CEO of Boeing, will accompany President Trump on his visit to China.
In addition, CEOs from Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, BlackRock, Citigroup, and Dina Powell McCormick, President of Meta, were named on the delegation list.
Bloomberg reported that President Trump hopes to finalize business deals and purchase agreements with China during this visit.
Tesla is currently working to obtain approval for its autonomous driving system in the Chinese market, and SpaceX is also known to be in contact with Chinese solar companies for the construction of a space data center.
China is a crucial market for Apple, accounting for 20% of its total revenue, and also serves as a key production base with major partners like Foxconn concentrated there.
Boeing is reportedly in negotiations with China for a large-scale contract that includes 500 '737 Max' passenger jets and dozens of wide-body jets. If this deal goes through, it is expected to be China's largest order to Boeing since 2017.
The U.S. has also stated that discussions related to the U.S.-China Trade Commission and Investment Commission will be included on the agenda for this summit.
However, an official stated that Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, was not included in this delegation to China.
Previously, the U.S. had approved the export of Nvidia's artificial intelligence (AI) chip 'H200' to China, but Chinese companies have not yet received purchase approval from the Chinese government, so exports to China have not yet taken place.
President Trump is scheduled to make a state visit to China from the 13th to the 15th.
