IT, finance, and aviation industries accompany in large numbers... "Trump hopes for business deals and purchase agreements with China"
It has been revealed that a large number of executives from American technology and financial companies are included in the delegation accompanying U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to China for the U.S.-China summit.
Bloomberg and Reuters reported on the 11th (local time), citing White House officials, that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Apple CEO Tim Cook, and Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg will accompany President Trump on his visit to China.
In addition, CEOs from Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, BlackRock, Citigroup, and Dina Powell McCormick, President of Meta, were also named on the delegation list.
Bloomberg reported that President Trump hopes to finalize business deals and purchase agreements with China during this visit.
Tesla is currently working to obtain approval for its autonomous driving system in the Chinese market, and SpaceX is also reportedly in contact with Chinese solar companies to build a space data center.
China is a crucial market for Apple, accounting for 20% of its total sales, and also serves as a key production base where major partners like Foxconn are concentrated.
Boeing has reportedly been negotiating a large-scale contract with China, including 500 '737 MAX' passenger jets and dozens of wide-body jets. If this deal goes through, it is expected to be the largest order placed by China with Boeing since 2017.
The U.S. has also stated that discussions related to the U.S.-China Trade Committee and Investment Committee will be on the agenda for this summit.
However, an official stated that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang was not included in this delegation to China.
Previously, the U.S. had approved the export of Nvidia's artificial intelligence (AI) chip 'H200' to China, but Chinese companies have not yet received purchase approval from the Chinese government, so exports to China have not yet taken place.
President Trump is scheduled to make a state visit to China from the 13th to the 15th.
