A US court sentenced California resident Evan Tangeman to 70 months in prison for money laundering in connection with a $263 million cryptocurrency fraud organization, Decrypt reported. He admitted to laundering at least $3.5 million in stolen funds, and the organization was found to have been operating on an online platform since 2023. The court considered obstruction of justice, including attempts to destroy evidence, in determining the sentence and also ordered three years of supervised release.
