U.S. President Donald Trump
A poll has shown that U.S. President Donald Trump's job approval rating has fallen to the low 30s, and his approval rating for economic policies has dropped even further.
According to a poll conducted by the Associated Press and the University of Chicago's NORC Center for Public Affairs Research among 2,596 American adults from the 16th to the 20th and released on the 21st (local time) (with a margin of error of ±2.6 percentage points), President Trump's approval rating was 33%.
This is a 5 percentage point drop from 38% in the same institution's survey last month (19th-23rd), and notably, it is the lowest since President Trump launched his second term administration in January last year.
The Associated Press pointed out that "President Trump's declining approval rating could cause problems for the Republican Party, which is trying to maintain its majority status in the federal House and Senate in the midterm elections."
President Trump's approval rating for economic policies fell even more sharply than his overall approval rating, dropping from 38% last month to 30% this month.
President Trump's approval rating on the Iran issue slightly decreased from 35% last month to 32%. This is interpreted as a reflection of the ongoing situation where ceasefire and peace negotiations with Iran have not found a breakthrough.
Regarding the response to the cost of living, the approval rating was even lower, with only 23% of respondents supporting President Trump, indicating growing dissatisfaction among Americans on this issue.
Even among Republicans, who are President Trump's supporters, the approval rating for the cost of living issue was only 51%.
Only President Trump's approval rating for immigration policy showed a slight increase, reaching 40% from 38% last month.
