▲ Solana (SOL), Ethereum (ETH)
Solana (SOL) is once again drawing attention with a strong bullish scenario based on the market cap gap with Ethereum (ETH). It's not just a simple price rebound, but the possibility of a market structure change is also being discussed, attracting investors' interest.
According to U.Today, a cryptocurrency specialized media outlet, on April 9 (local time), an analysis suggests that Solana could rise to approximately $458 if it reaches the same market capitalization level as Ethereum. This figure implies several times the upside potential compared to the current price.
This forecast starts with a market capitalization comparison. Solana has recently expanded user influx based on rapid ecosystem expansion, transaction processing speed, and low fees. On the other hand, Ethereum still maintains a dominant position in the DeFi and smart contract markets, but high gas fees and scalability issues are continuously pointed out.
In particular, Solana's network usage has surged due to increased meme coin trading and NFT activities, rapidly boosting its market share. Accordingly, some analysts believe that the flow of funds gradually shifting to Solana is strengthening.
However, the market cap reversal scenario is a hypothesis based on simple calculations, and thus caution is also raised. Ethereum still holds an overwhelming advantage in institutional funds and the developer ecosystem, and continues to improve performance through Layer 2 scaling solutions.
Ultimately, for Solana to reach the suggested price level, it must be supported by continuous network stability and security, as well as long-term ecosystem competitiveness, beyond simply increasing users, according to analysis.
As the virtual asset market remains highly volatile, an approach that comprehensively judges market structure changes and fund flows, rather than excessive optimism about a specific scenario, is required.
