Bitwise announced a survey report, stating that no institutions reduced their investment allocation while the market dropped by 50%. This survey was conducted from late March to April this year, targeting investment professionals from 15 institutions including universities, institutional funds, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and publicly traded companies. Despite the cryptocurrency market being in a downturn from October last year to April this year, not a single institution reduced its cryptocurrency investment allocation. Instead, some institutions even made additional purchases. The majority of respondents stated that they are either currently utilizing or plan to utilize cryptocurrency spot ETFs in the future. The cryptocurrency investment allocation of these institutions ranged from 0.5% to 13% of their investable assets, with most being at the 1-2% level. Bitwise explained, "Concerns such as governance, operational issues, and reputational risk still remained major barriers to increasing institutions' cryptocurrency investment allocation."
