Bloomberg reported that World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency project co-founded by the Trump family, has generated significant business revenue, but many of the partnerships and business plans it announced have yet to materialize. Bloomberg stated, "WLFI acquired tokens from various projects such as AAVE, ENA, ONDO, LINK, and MOVE to create a so-called 'strategic token reserve.' After WLFI's purchases were confirmed on-chain, the prices of these tokens generally rose by 10-26% within a day, but then largely fell with the subsequent cryptocurrency market downturn. Previously announced plans, such as Aave-based lending services, the use of Ethena (ENA) stablecoins as collateral, and the introduction of tokenized US Treasury bonds and stocks from ONDO, have also not yet been implemented as planned. Subsequently, WLFI transferred or disposed of most of the LINK, AAVE, ENA, and MOVE included in its reserves, moving some to centralized exchange accounts. However, it has not been confirmed whether the assets moved to exchanges were actually sold. Criticisms are also being raised regarding potential conflicts of interest as WLFI's business relationships with the cryptocurrency industry intertwine with the Trump administration's relevant policies."
