Coindesk reported that following the recent Coldcard hacking incident, approximately 210,000 BTC moved from long-term holder (LTH) addresses over the past week. This is the largest amount since December last year, according to Glassnode data, with LTH holdings decreasing from about 15 million BTC before the incident to approximately 14.7 million BTC currently. Coindesk diagnosed, "This is a pattern of BTC moving from existing wallets with hacking risks to new wallets, rather than a large-scale sell-off. Some may have also changed their storage to regulated custodians or spot Bitcoin ETFs." It added, "Indeed, approximately $754 million was net-inflowed into U.S. spot BTC ETFs during the same period, with most of it going into BlackRock IBIT."
