[Ko-toon] "When the AI bubble bursts around 2028, Bitcoin will reach $1 million"
Arthur Hayes, founder of BitMEX, predicted that the construction of artificial intelligence (AI) data centers is essentially a business based on real estate development and credit expansion, and if loans related to data centers and power grids become non-performing between 2026 and 2028, a credit collapse similar to the 2008 financial crisis could occur. He attributed the recent decline of Bitcoin (BTC) to the $60,000-$70,000 range to the flow of liquidity into the AI industry, predicting that the current price is forming a bottom, and even in extreme situations, the lower bound would only be around $50,000. He further argued that the U.S. government is likely to supply more dollars than in 2008 to bail out AI companies and financial institutions, and that Bitcoin, the 'fire alarm of the capital market' that first detects currency devaluation and inefficient allocation of capital, will eventually surpass $1 million.
