BlackRock's spot Ethereum ETF (ETHA) will conduct a 1-for-3 reverse stock split on October 6. This measure is intended to increase the net asset value (NAV) per share by reducing the number of shares. There will be no change to investors' total holdings or the fund's total net assets, which exceed $5 billion. The purpose of this split is to raise the current share price, which is around $14, thereby reducing the bid-ask spread (gap) from approximately 7 bps to around 2 bps. This is purely a structural adjustment and will not directly affect the actual market price of Ethereum (ETH).
