Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi stated on the 28th (local time) that Iran will firmly respond to any act violating the ceasefire agreement and will not sign any memorandum of understanding that does not serve its national interest. Earlier on the same day, US officials reported that US and Iranian negotiating delegations had agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MOU), which was awaiting final approval from President Trump.
