The Block reported that Aztec Labs, an Ethereum privacy-enhancing Layer 2 project, has acquired ZKPassport, an identity verification solution. The entire ZKPassport team, including co-founders Michael Elliott and Theo Mazur, will join Aztec Labs. ZKPassport is a tool that utilizes Zero-Knowledge Proof technology to verify specific attributes of users, such as nationality and age, without revealing actual personal information. It generates an encrypted signature by scanning a passport with a smartphone's NFC chip.
