TASS reported that the Russian Power Development Commission recommended banning cryptocurrency mining in Moscow and parts of the Kursk region until 2032. This measure is aimed at ensuring the stability of power supply in these regions. Russian authorities have been considering restrictions on cryptocurrency mining in areas where energy shortages are a concern. The media added, "The ban on mining throughout the metropolitan area, including Moscow, is expected to have a significant impact not only on large-scale mining facilities but also on small-scale miners."
