The Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), under the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), reported that cryptocurrency ATM (kiosk)-related scams in 2025 received over 13,400 complaints, and the losses exceeded $388 million. This represents a 23% increase in the number of complaints and a 58% increase in losses compared to 2024. Notably, more than half of all complaints involved victims aged 50 or older, with their losses alone exceeding $302 million.
