Exhibiting Daejeon's 'Kkumdori', Yongin's 'Joa-yong', Jinju's 'Hamo', etc. at the World Tower store
Lotte Duty Free announced on the 22nd that it will operate the 'K-Public Character Goods Pop-up Zone' for foreign tourists in collaboration with the Korea Customs Service.
To alleviate the concentration of foreign visitors in the Seoul metropolitan area, various goods featuring local characteristics and the unique personalities of public characters will be displayed, along with introductions to the tourism content of local governments.
In the pop-up zone, which will run until the 31st on the 9th floor of the World Tower store, visitors can see representative characters from four local governments, including Daejeon's 'Kkumdori', Jinju's 'Hamo', Suncheon's 'Lumi & Ddung-i', and Yongin's 'Joa-yong', as well as the Korea Customs Service's mascot 'Mata'.
A Lotte Duty Free official stated, "We hope that K-characters will serve as an opportunity to naturally promote the diverse regional tourism attractions of Korea," and added, "We plan to continue various activities to revitalize local tourism in cooperation with the Korea Customs Service and participating local governments."
