Money Today reported that the Financial Services Commission will announce detailed regulations and guidelines in July regarding tokenized securities, which are set to be implemented in February next year. Tokenized securities are securities issued and managed using distributed ledger technology such as blockchain, allowing rights such as ownership and dividends, like stocks or bonds, to be digitally recorded and traded through securities firms (investment dealers/brokers). Financial authorities are pursuing measures such as allowing the issuance of fractional investment securities by pooling multiple underlying assets, establishing a tokenization roadmap for stocks, bonds, etc., and expanding transaction limits on OTC exchanges.
