As the U.S. Senate Banking Committee proceeds with deliberation and voting (markup) on the detailed agenda of the CLARITY Act, Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego, who had previously been negative about the bill's passage, has expressed his support, according to Eleanor Terrett, host of Crypto in America. She added, "However, Ruben Gallego appended a caveat that his support in the Banking Committee does not necessarily mean support in the full Senate session." The 24 senators on the Banking Committee (13 Republican, 11 Democratic) are debating and voting on dozens of detailed provisions of the CLARITY Act, and will ultimately vote on whether to send the bill to the full Senate. If the Banking Committee passes the bill, the CLARITY Act will proceed to a full Senate vote after jurisdictional coordination and integration procedures with the Senate Agriculture Committee.
