According to Walter Bloomberg, CitiGroup's research division predicted that "the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will not resolve the conflict between the US and Iran." Citi analyzed, "Disruptions to maritime transportation due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz will continue intermittently for the next 4-8 weeks," adding that "Iran may prolong the tense situation to gain negotiation leverage and secure revenue."
