The Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) announced that it has commenced supervision of virtual asset businesses. According to Decrypt, AUSTRAC will inspect anti-money laundering (AML) and risk management systems of 36 over-the-counter (OTC) cryptocurrency businesses and 27 local exchanges.
