Jack McDonald, Ripple's SVP for Stablecoins, announced at Consensus 2026 in Miami, USA, that Ripple's stablecoin business will soon acquire a license from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). He explained, "Ripple's stablecoin business already holds a license in New York State and also holds licenses in several other regions worldwide."
