According to Naeil Shinmun, Ozys, the operator of the virtual asset service 'Orbit Bridge', which suffered hacking damage of around 110 billion won, has been held liable for a large amount of damages to users. According to legal sources on the 7th, the 15th Civil Division of the Seoul Southern District Court (Presiding Judge Yoon Chan-young) recently ruled partially in favor of the plaintiff in a damages lawsuit filed by user A against Ozys. The court ruled that Ozys failed to fulfill its duty of care to stably operate a service that safely stores and manages user assets, and ordered Ozys to compensate Mr. A with 726 million won. However, considering that Ozys made certain efforts to strengthen security and responded by reporting the incident to investigative agencies immediately after the accident, the liability was limited to 70%.
