The access road to the negotiation venue in Islamabad, Pakistan, still blocked on April 26 last month
Iran has delivered a new negotiation proposal to Pakistan, the mediating country, to end the war with the United States, Iran's state news agency IRNA reported on the 1st (local time).
According to the report, Iran delivered the full text of the negotiation proposal to Pakistan the previous night.
Esmail Baghaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized in a media interview the previous day that "the top priority in negotiating with the United States is ending the war and achieving lasting peace," IRNA added.
The United States and Iran held their first meeting to end the war in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on the 11th of last month, but failed to reach an agreement.
Since then, both sides have been exploring the possibility of a second meeting through Pakistan, but it has not yet materialized.
Meanwhile, both sides have repeatedly rejected the other's proposed negotiation terms and made counter-proposals.
