Acting Inspector General Hurst of the US Department of Defense stated at a Senate hearing that no new funds for military aid to Ukraine were allocated in the Pentagon's budget proposal for fiscal year 2027. When a senator asked for confirmation if Ukraine support was not included in the budget, Acting Inspector General Hurst replied, "That's right. USAI (Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative) funds are not included in this budget," according to Russia's Sputnik news agency.
