The Block reported that stablecoin payment company KAST has appointed Stephanie Allen, who previously served as a senior advisor at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as its Head of Corporate and Policy Communications. During her tenure at the SEC, Allen advised on external and internal communication strategies, served as a spokesperson, and acted as an advisor to the cryptocurrency task force. KAST stated that this appointment is a move to accelerate its expansion into the North and Latin American markets. Meanwhile, KAST raised $80 million in a Series A round last March.
